Dune pepper is the name given to the male catkin of the crisp alder. By crushing the catkins with a mortar, we obtain "pepper" whose taste is very complex but very pleasant. Its fragrance is sweet and composed of a floral touch embellished with a hint of typically forest bitterness. Our pepper is hand-picked in the boreal forests of the Côte-Nord, more precisely in the Manicouagan region. Dune pepper can be used in its catkin form or in powder form (pepper) using a mortar and pestle. Use it to enhance your favorite dishes!
